Job Description

The Reception Supervisor, is a dedicated and experienced professional who leads and oversees daily reception operations in a dynamic hostel environment. As well as carrying out the traditional duties of a receptionist, this leader plays a key role in the efficient management of the team and the continuous improvement of the services provided. Key Functional Competencies (You possess the following) - Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner, taking into account guests' needs and operational objectives. - Ability to lead and motivate the reception team to achieve targets and provide excellent customer service. - Solid written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude even under high pressure. - Ability to learn and manage systems. Job Responsibilities

- Lead the team in greeting and assisting guests during check-in and check-out, ensuring exceptional service. - Cultivate a positive service culture and friendly interactions with both guests and staff. - Oversee the response to guest enquiries and requests through various communication channels, maintaining high standards of service. - Ensure readiness to answer phone and WhatsApp calls, providing effective information and assistance. - Proactively manage guest bookings and reservations, optimising the efficiency of the process. - Monitoring availability and ensuring an equitable distribution of bookings, adjusting as necessary. - Ensure that the reception workspace is always organised and tidy to reflect a professional and welcoming environment. - Implementing effective document management practices and administrative procedures. - Supervise and support the team in administrative and clerical tasks, providing guidance when necessary.
